In the last six months, in addition to volunteer and part-time professional services, two full-time staff members have joined CUNCR.
Kelci Wilford has been working with the organization since June, as Assistant Program Manager. She recently received her LLM with distinction in Human Rights Law with a specialization in International Law at University of Kent Brussels School of International Studies. Her main areas of interest are international criminal law, the ICC, and transitional justice. She also holds an honours degree in International Studies with a specialization in International Cooperation and Conflict from her home country of Canada.
Ali Haxhijaj is an Albanian-American who holds his bachelor’s degree in International Criminal Justice & Political Science from John Jay College of Criminal Justice, City University of New York. After partaking in several roles at human rights organizations, such as Amnesty International USA, the Dispute Resolution Center and the Center for International Human Rights (CIHR) at John Jay College, he began serving in local government bodies including New York Community Board 7 and the Office of the Manhattan Borough President. His desire to further his understanding on global governance led him to Europe where he took part in the Young European Leadership (YEL) in Brussels. He is now completing his LL.M. thesis in International Law with a specialization in Conflict and Security at the Brussels School of International Studies, University of Kent. He joins CUNCR as a Communications and External Affairs Officer.
