WHO WE ARE
YCA a Youth Climate Ambassador and
advocacy program of the Center for
UN Constitutional Research (CUNCR)
with young activists from all around the
globe who united to synergize our
efforts for an effective climate
governance, this network was created
in 2019 during CUNCR’s Third Climate
Justice & Democracy Summit which
took place in Brussels (Belgium) and
Epirus (Greece). It has now over three
hundred climate ambassadors in all
continents and the sinking islands.
Our goal is to implement the actions
laid down in the Climate Democracy
Declaration.

WHAT DO
WE WANT:
CLIMATE
DEMOCRACY
Climate democracy means people to be represented and not
only sovereign states to make decisions for climate and the
planet. More specifically we believe in Climate Democracy
Declaration with the principles of:
A UN world parliament, a UN court on the environment and
the human rights and the right to a healthy environment to be
incorporated in the UN constitution.
HOW DO WE GET THERE?
The San Francisco Promise made during the creation of the United Nations,
that a New UN fit for future challenges will be coming. The Charter breach of
not having a UN constitutional review, according to Article 109 (3) can be the
basis for a paradigm shift in the effective global governance of the climate.
